Another month yet again...
It has been another busy month for me. Work is pretty busy, I've been getting out late almost every day. I've been assigned the fun job of working on the Plymouth Corps website. You can visit it here: www.usc.salvationarmy.org/plymouth. I still have MUCH work to do on it, but I still have every other aspect of my job to do, so I add a little bit each day. Look for staff pictures in the next couple of days.
Creative Memories is going okay. Been kind of a slow month as far as business goes, but I have several things coming up in the next month and lots of exciting opportunites. I just love scrapbooking, and so doing this isn't any kind of chore to me. I just love it.
Lily is Lily. Still having her temper tantrums and mood swings, but her speech just continues to amaze me every day. She really does talk to you now. The other day Lily & I were out & about, and while in the car, I realized I had left my purse at our last stop. I yelled, "Oh no, I forgot my purse." She says, "Don't worry Mommy, I help you find it." No kidding! My current problem is that her hair is really growing now, and it NEEDS to be brushed/combed in the morning, but she will not let me get near her! When you come at her with a comb, you would think you were coming with a knife to chop off her arm, I am serious. I have to hold her down while she is kicking and screaming for me to comb it, only to have her mess it back up with her hands as soon as I let her go. STINKER!!!!
Me and several other moms from my moms group held a garage sale yesterday and today, and it was a success! A total of about $1,075 made, and I made about $235 I think. sweet! That will pay some debts....
Til next month....LOL....

I'm trying...
I'm trying to take Lily places that I think will be fun & she'll enjoy. Haven't had much success lately.
- Sunday after Independence Day - We went to the Westland Fireworks. I thought she would think they were cool. Not so much. She wanted to leave. Not even me holding her helped, she wanted to get in her stroller and GO!
- Last Saturday - Lily loves animals, so I thought, she'll LOVE Rainforest Cafe. Her first impression was pretty good. She liked the fish in the big aquarium, and she even seemed to like the elephants. But they sat us by the gorilla. It was all okay until the gorilla starting grunting and hitting its chest. She freaked out, saying "C'mon, let's go! Let's go mommy, I want to go!" And she basically starting walking out of the place. I even tried to take her out and calm her down, but as soon as we went back in she freaked out again. So we drove all the way out there for nothing. We didn't even get to order.
- Today - I brought her to a nice sprayscape in Plymouth. She didn't want to go near the water. She loves pools, but something about spraying/sprinkling water kind of freaks her out.
Oh well.
Every so often I find a new website to play with...my current online addiction is a site called CASH COW (See link at the top of my page!). I'm sure you've seen sites like it before, saying if you click on offers you'll get points/money/prizes...well I really like this one. And honestly, I'm the closest I've ever been to getting actual $$$ from one of these websites than I ever have before, and I've only been a member for 4 days. You click on offers, sign up, and get points. But instead of points, you earn "milkshakes." Each milkshake is worth 50 cents, and you need a minimum of 20 milkshakes to cash out, which is $10. You can get gift cards or paypal payments. Like I said I've only been a member for 4 days and I'm already at like 14.5 milkshakes or something. My friend Jeannine referred me to this site and she has seriously been earning the big bucks...you cash out at the end of the month, and July is not even over yet and she's going to be getting like $170 so far. Oh, and I do want to say you should use a secondary email address for this. Don't use your regular email, it will get loaded up with spam. So if you don't already have one, create a free one at gmail.com. Another thing to keep in mind: I don't do any of the offers that you have to pay for anything or put in a credit card for a free trial. I do all the low-point offers where all you basically have to put in is your name & email address to get credit from cash cow. But hey, if you want to get more points, try some of the offers if you are really interested. So, give it a try. Just in case the link above isn't working, the website is www.gptcashcow.com, and make sure you say you were referred by ckh61682! Oh, and the website can be a little confusing at first, but its easy to get the hang of. Let me know if you have any questions, I am glad to help.

A month gone by
An apology to the readers of my blog...as I am sure you have noticed, its been more than a month since I posted last. What can I say? Xanga is kind of low on my priority list. But I now have an evening of no working out, no playdates, nothing but sitting at home...so I thought I'd update my blog.
Well, last time I posted I mentioned that I was 4 1/2 weeks into a biggest loser challenge. 8 weeks has come and gone, and I didn't win. In those 8 weeks I lost a total of 11.75 pounds and was in 7th place (out of 15 people). Of course I am glad about the almost 12 pound loss, but a little sad because I didn't work as hard as I knew I could have. But in all honestly, I was just beat. I have been working hard to lose weight since January and I was just tired of pushing myself so hard. So now for the rest of the summer, I am just working to maintain my weight, and not lose. I am still going to the gym 3-4 times a week and still eating healthy, but I am not beating myself up if I skip the gym one day or if I have a tasty treat.
Since I last posted, I became a Creative Memories consultant. I am taking another try at the Direct sales business. I know this is a product I can sell, because I truly believe they have quality products and I use them regularly. I just need to find customers. So, I will give it my all, and if I have success, GREAT, but if not, oh well. At least I got some great CM stuff at a lower price.

Another piece of news is that Phil was offered a promotion. He's going to be going into the first step of managemnent in his company. I am very excited for him, mostly because it was a situation that this job was offered to him soon after the girl who he is replacing gave her notice. So I am glad they are recognizing that he is capable of much more.
That's kind of it for now....I'll try to update again soon...

4 1/2 weeks into a challenge...and some other stuff
I am 4 1/2 weeks into an 8 week Biggest Loser Challenge. Currently I am in 5th place. The top 3 take home the cash, so I need to step it up a bit. Actually, part of our program has been (in addition to all the working out) going into the sauna twice a week for 30 minutes each. I believe the sauna is helping. In all honestly, I don't think I'm doing much else different from what I've been doing before except the sauna. And my last 3 weigh-ins have been 3.25 lbs, 2.5 lbs, and 2.5 lbs. I haven't had this kind of kick-butt weight loss since February. But I am competing against some gals who weigh a lot less than me, and they are also losing 2-3 pounds a week....well when you weigh less, your percentage of weight loss is going to be more than someone bigger like me. So I need to figure something out...because I want that cash!!!!
In other news....Lily slept in a toddler bed for the first time last night. My baby is growing up.
We were able to get our hands on a toddler bed for free (It's Spongebob Squarepants!), and her crib matress fits perfectly into it, so we gave it a try last night. Of course, putting her to bed was a challenge, but once she was asleep, all was well. Random thought: I think I am incapable of "going green." I have bought SEVERAL Meijer reusable grocery bags so I don't have to get plastic bags all the time...and EVERY time I forget to bring them with me to the store! A lot of good those bags do me sitting at home....*sigh*
Finally, we're heading to Chicago this weekend. We'll be catching up with some old friends in The Salvation Army. It will be nice.
Oh, and my birthday is in 11 days!!!!!
